7Days Nongkhiaw – Homestay-Visit Remote Village

welcome to Luang Prabang, Laos! Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in (Standard check-in time is from 14:00). Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight in hotel

Early in the morning, we’ll participate in the spiritual "tak bat" ceremony, also known as the Alms Giving Ceremony. Return back to Hotel for breakfast, you’ll be transferred to visit the Royal Palace, also known as the National Museum of Luang Prabang. The palace features a blend of French and Laotian architecture and currently houses various collections of crown jewels, antique cars, royal objects, weapons, artwork, and more, then we will visit Xiengthong Temple. Late afternoon we will head to Kuang Si Waterfall (Tat Kuang Si), located 29 km south of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to take a short trek along the forest trail up the mountain before enjoying a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water. On the way back, we will stop by the Kuang Si Bear Rescue Sanctuary, where you'll learn about Asian sun and moon bears and the bear protection program. Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

Breakfast, we will drive on a minivan to Nongkhiaw district about 3-4hours on the bumping road. You will arrive by late afternoon and lunch by your own account, then we will start trekking 1h30h through the jungle to visit Pha Deang view point and you see the 360 views of Nong Khiaw above the clouds. Then return back to hotel and overnight.

We'll start our morning with a bit of adventure, climbing into the back of a truck and driving higher into the mountains to visit villages of the Hmong and Kmu ethnic groups. We'll spend the day exploring these curious villages, interacting with the people living in the mountains. We'll stay the night in simple Hmong accommodation, a dormitory with only basic facilities. The photo opportunities are well worth any small amount of discomfort. * Overnight in Home stay

After breakfast, take a boat trip along the mighty Ou River with its spectacular limestone mountains lining both sides of river. Arrive at the tucked away village of Muang Ngoi and check in at a local bungalow. Explore this small, beautiful town with a short hike to Tam Kang Cave, another hiding place for the local people during the Vietnam War. Visit Ban Na and then return to Muang Ngoi town. Spend the rest of the day at leisure on the riverside and enjoy another wonderful sunset. Overnight in Home stay

Breakfast, We continue on boat visit Ban Sopjam (weaving village) and return back to Nong Khiaw, take the car to Luang Prabang. Overnight in hotel Luang Prabang.
